Former Interim Criminal Justice Department Chair Dr. Michael Dalecki was instrumental in the retaliation against Dr. Burton.
Why do I ridicule Dr. Dalecki on this website? _
Dalecki bragged that his bible is Saul Alinsky's book "Rules For Radicals." Saul Alinsky was a very effective organizer and he developed 13 rules for getting organized.
Rule #5:
“Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. Ridicule serves as a way to build community spirit and reduce the fear of those in power.
Rule #13:
“Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Focusing on specific individuals or institutions (rather than vague entities) makes the campaign more relatable and tangible. However, this tactic can also be polarizing and divisive, and it’s generally used only when other approaches are ineffective.
We tried fighting the lies alone. and we failed. Now we are looking for grass roots support.
Alinsky's strategies have been influential across the political spectrum, inspiring diverse groups to advocate for causes ranging from workers' rights to environmental protection. Alinsky's ideas continue to be relevant in today’s organizing landscape, where movements like Black Lives Matter, Occupy, and climate justice campaigns employ similar tactics to challenge established power structures and amplify grassroots voices. Ultimately, Rules for Radicals remains a key text in community organizing and social movement theory, presenting a flexible, tactical approach to effecting change and empowering ordinary people to fight for justice.

Dr. Dicklicki used Alinsky's rules against Dr. Burton in his mission to get Dr. Burton fired. I believe it is fitting to ridicule him on this website, which exposes not only his fecalface, but also his misdeeds, poor leadership, and general ass-holiness. On the timeline search for "Dalecki" to see his story of mediocrity, misplaced loyalty to power, advancement by cronyism, and shame.

Below is an audio recording of a meeting where Dalecki ordered a graduate student to see him because the graduate student had told Dr. Burton of Provost Den Herder's "Gag-Order" against Burton. The graduate student expected to be treated badly, so the grad student secretly recorded the meeting, as allowed by Wisconsin law. In the meeting Dalecki warned the student not communicate with Dr. Burton or bad things would happen. This was part of the administration's plan to isolate Burton from supporters.

Please make comments below as to whether you consider Dalecki to be "threatening" as we believe, or whether he was just being a good department chair offering valuable "counseling" to one of his students, as Dalecki claimed. Compare that to Dr. Burton's score where 100% of her students would take her class again. Dr. Burton, a quality teacher, was fired because she stood up against retaliation by Dalecki, an unqualified Criminal Justice department chair, who had been appointed in violation of and to suppress Dr. Burton's rights. In case you hadn't noticed, I have zero respect for Dr. Michael Dalecki. - Roger Burton. Former US Marine Corps Major, fighter pilot, Gulf War Veteran, Airline Pilot.
RULE 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. (This is a serious rule. The besieged entity’s very credibility and reputation is at stake, because if activists catch it lying or not living up to its commitments, they can continue to chip away at the damage.)
We attempt to make the university live up to its own rules by asking you to sign the petition to force the university to re-examine the process that was used to fire Dr. Burton. When we get enough signatures it will be difficult for the administration to ignore us. If they examine the process in a fair forum they will determine that Dr. Burton was not given fair due process, but that her rights were repeatedly violated. All we ask is that an independent, FAIR panel of faculty from UW Platteville (not administrators) openly hear our arguments. Help us hold them to their own rules.
